The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a full-time 1.00 FTE, 9-month, Fixed-Term Visiting Assistant/Associate/Full Professor position in Mathematics Education. The anticipated length of this appointment is September 16, 2021-June 15, 2023. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Department Head.
This is a Visiting position that is anticipated to be two years in duration.
Professors in the College of Science and the Department of Mathematics are expected to demonstrate effectiveness in teaching, advising, and other instructional activities; achievement in scholarship and creative activity that establishes the individual as a significant and distinguished contributor to the field or profession; and an appropriate balance of institutional and professional service. All professorial rank faculty members are expected to make significant contributions to both undergraduate and graduate education. All faculty members are expected to maintain high standards of collegiality and professional integrity, to demonstrate willingness to cooperate in assignments, and to demonstrate commitment to enhancing diversity and promoting inclusivity in the department, the institution, and the profession. This position supports the College of Science and its department missions in research and scholarship, general education for undergraduates, and graduate degrees, and service to the public and the local, national, and international professional communities. Typically requires PhD or terminal degree (Masters for some Extension positions and MLS for Library positions), demonstrated ability to teach in a classroom Extension, or other setting, and develop a research program in the academic discipline/unit.

PhD in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or related field, by September 16 2021.
Demonstrated ability or significant potential to develop, conduct and disseminate high-quality research.
Demonstrated ability or significant potential for teaching excellence and commitment to student success which can benefit the graduate and undergraduate programs at OSU.
