Required Qualifications: Qualified candidates should have a graduate degree (MFA, MDes, or equivalent) or bachelor's degree and professional equivalence in a related field with a proven commitment to quality teaching at the undergraduate level. Record of professional practice and/or research/creative activity is required. Successful applicants will be able to teach theoretical and practical hands-on courses, will have industry and/or academic experience, and are motivated to work with faculty and students on building curriculum, leading school-wide initiatives, and/or participating on collaborative projects.
We are seeking candidates with expertise in areas related to graphic design and game design in one or more of the following areas:
design methods including design research, concepting, and experimentation
systems thinking and systems design
interface or product design (including screen or physical interfaces, emerging technology, haptics, digital fabrication, etc.)
digital design (design across media and mode)
visual communication including 2D/3D typography, animation, or illustration
creative programming such as Processing/p5.js or openFrameworks
game development platforms such as Unity
narrative storytelling and worldbuilding
