The Research Assistant position that will perform skilled, administrative, and managerial support in research. The Research Assistant will plan and direct certain phases in a research project.
This position is grant-funded. Continued employment is contingent on the renewal of grant-funding.
Conducts a comprehensive literature review.
Develops necessary computational models for offshore wind energy and investigate uncertainties and structural reliability of the structural components.
Develops CFD tools and conduct analysis for the design and optimization of turbine blades.
Prepares research journals, conference papers, and presentations and assist with grant proposals.
Identify appropriate standard techniques for research and maintain detailed records of data.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelorâ™s degree in a relevant field.
No prior experience required
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's of Science in Engineering.
Master's of Science in Engineering.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment.
Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.
