Department of Accounting & Finance, School of Business, St. John Fisher College, Rochester, New York, invites nominations and applications for a full time Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Finance starting fall 2021. Candidates from all areas of finance are encouraged to apply. Teaching and research topics include but are not limited to investments and corporate finance. The committee will evaluate the suitability of the candidate based on evidence of teaching effectiveness as well as research experience.
Accredited by AACSB International, the School of Business (SOB) at St. John Fisher College offers majors in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management and Human Resource Management. Approximately 530 undergraduates are enrolled in these majors and an additional 80 students are enrolled in the MBA program. The SOB has an active investment club managing a $170K portfolio, a trading lab equipped with 9 Bloomberg terminals along with three additional Bloomberg workstations for use outside the classroom, and multiple, student-driven clubs including accounting, leadership and entrepreneurship clubs.

Faculty in the department carry a three-three teaching load and are expected to be effective and committed teachers. They are also expected to engage in scholarship to build and maintain a strong publication record, advise students and perform service to the college and the profession.
Education / Experience:
Applications are invited from candidates who have completed a Ph.D. or DBA in Finance from an AACSB Accredited School of Business. Though candidates who are ABD will be considered, preference will be given to experienced applicants who have an established scholarly agenda. Applicants who show a commitment to engaging with external constituents are preferred as St. John Fisher College has a robust commitment to community engagement. Experience in the investment industry, professional certifications and working knowledge of Bloomberg are also desirable as is knowledge of matters related to cyber security.
