Performs general accounting duties following generally accepted accounting principles and procedures. Prepares financial reports and assists customers in analyzing their data. Ensures the accurate recording and reporting of the business unit's financial transactions. Demonstrates a high degree of customer support and promotes efficiencies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business-related field
Professional accounting experience
Current experience in using financial software packages (e.g., PeopleSoft or other enterprise software)
Proficiency in creating complex spreadsheet and word processing applications using Microsoft Office suite.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience with accounting and Microsoft Office software
Knowledge and ability to use creative problem-solving techniques
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrate ability in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
A working knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), automated accounting system processes, operations, and reporting principles
Experience establishing and maintaining working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
