The Assistant A.D. for Marketing and Fan Engagement is responsible for the oversight of marketing, advertising, research, promotions and game day experience. This position will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy for each sport with an emphasis on revenue generation, increasing ticket sales and improving the overall fan experience. The Assistant A.D. will supervise 5 positions in marketing and spirit groups.
Develop/implement comprehensive marketing plan for the department
Execute annual qualitative and quantitative consumer research
Manage partnerships with student groups
Oversight of Husker Spirit programs Advertising:
Utilize all internal media platforms (email, social media, radio, text and print) to execute marketing campaigns and place advertising
Work with outside media vendors to place advertising.
Help develop creative that aligns with campaign themes Promotions:
Manage Lil' Husker Kids Club Program
Develop/Implement annual promotional calendars
Source promotional items Game Day Experience
Develop and coordinate game day script
Lead lights, pyro, music, public address, band and spirt teams
Coordinate with Husker Athletics Partners and HuskerVision to create video content
Manage all fan interactive areas The selected candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years related work experience in college or professional sports environment; Managerial experience required.
Will be required to submit a previous marketing plan and related materials/measured results.
The ideal candidate may have a Master's degree in a related field. Knowledge and experience in working with NCAA rules desirable.
Posted Salary: $70,000/yr minimum
