Position Details: Summary of Duties: The Research Services Coordinator will work closely with the CVM Associate Dean of Research (CVM ADR) to administer grant and research strategic initiatives. This position will manage and work directly with internal pre- and post-award grant management and assist in the development and management research infrastructure Initiatives. The position will also serve to assist the Associate Dean of Research in highlighting (showcasing) research and scholarly achievements of CVM faculty at the College, University, State, and Federal engagement levels. Through collaboration with the CVM Associate Dean of Research and the Director of Innovation and Private Sector Engagement, the position will participate in evaluating the intellectual property and commercialization potential of research discoveries being made by college faculty.
A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Five (5) years of experience directly related biomedical or veterinary sciences or related life sciences discipline.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Experience with grant writing and management.
Advanced degree in a field related to biomedical or veterinary sciences.
Working knowledge of one or more scientific disciplines that makeup the CVM research enterprise including reproductive biology, developmental biology, DNA repair, infectious disease, neuroscience, veterinary pharmaceuticals/diagnostics, or functional genomics.
Peripheral knowledge of the scientific disciplines that makeup the CVM research enterprise including reproductive biology, developmental biology, DNA repair, infectious disease, neuroscience, veterinary pharmaceuticals/diagnostics, or functional genomics.
Experience with scientific manuscript preparation.
Experience with organization of science symposiums.
Experience with technology licensing in a university setting.
Monthly Salary: $3,500.00 - $5,000.00 DOE FTE: 100% Permanent/Temporary: Permanent
