The Senior Project Manager (PM) is a key member of the Central Administration (CADM) Project Management Office (PMO) and reports to the Director of the CADM PMO. The CADM PMO was recently formed in April 2021 to address a wide variety of complex projects across CADM and the University's multiple disciplines. The PM will participate in the formation of this new function and will manage a portfolio of project(s).
Harvard's Financial Administration Department (FAD) is responsible for the stewardship of the University's finances, including related business processes and technology. FAD is dedicated to supporting the teaching and research mission of the University by providing outstanding financial services to the Harvard community; by providing support, guidance and consultation; by working to ensure compliance with University and federal guidelines; by mitigating risk; and by promoting the financial health of the University.
The CADM PMO is hiring Two (2) Senior Project Managers
Work with university leaders on the implementation of complex projects to solve problems that may have wide impact and require high levels of functional integration.
Develop project plans, document key business requirements and facilitate decision making amongst a wide variety of stakeholder groups. Develop content to facilitate discussions in project meetings and document outcomes.
Develop change management plans, training materials and project communications as needed.
Leverage steering and executive committees for decision-making, change management and communications; develop and deliver executive level updates.
Build strong relationships and collaborate with CADM staff on a variety of initiatives; participate in and help support an affinity group of project managers throughout the Center to foster the sharing of best practices and promote strong project management standards

Basic Qualifications are the minimum threshold a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.
Minimum of five-seven years' post-secondary education or relevant work experience

Proficiency with presentation, collaboration tools and advanced Excel
Project management experience in higher education and one or more of the following subject areas: finance, human resources, information technology, health services, campus safety or administrative operations is strongly desired

Demonstrated ability to influence without direct responsibility/control
Skills and attitude that supports an Agile working environment
Demonstrated skill in fostering strong, collaborative relationships throughout all levels of the University
