Junior Specialist – Conti Lab University of California, San Francisco Center for Reproductive Sciences
The Conti Lab in the Center for Reproductive Sciences Eli and the Edythe Broad Center of Regenerative Medicine at UCSF is seeking a lab technician at the Junior Specialist rank. The position provides an opportunity to gain experience in academic research including learning cutting-edge technologies related to assisted reproduction. The main focus of the research ongoing in the lab is on understanding the mechanisms of regulation of mRNA translation in the female gamete in the context of fertility/infertility and aging. The research uses mostly mouse model organisms with some experiments performed in humans. The candidate will be integral part of the research team providing support for scientists and postdoctoral fellows in the lab (80% time). In addition, he/she will manage lab business together with another junior specialist (20% time).
