The Departments of African and African American Studies (AAAS) and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGS) at Brandeis University invites applications for a one-year visiting instructor position in Black Feminist Studies beginning July 1, 2021. We seek a dynamic teacher who will contribute to the curriculums of both AAAS and WGS, as well as support the department’s undergraduate and graduate student communities. The position comes with a five-course teaching load. The candidate will be expected to teach “Black Feminist Thought” and other courses in their area of expertise. One course could be a WGS proseminar that the candidate would facilitate with the participation of other faculty members. While area of expertise is open, candidates should preferably hold a Ph.D.
