Reporting directly to the Department Head of Instructional Systems and Workforce Development, the Instructor/Coordinator will coordinate program promotion, recruitment, summer orientation, and general administration of the departmental office. In addition, the position includes teaching courses in the undergraduate industrial technology program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Teach a minimum of two classes annually for industrial technology 2. Maintain the email@example.com email with prompt responses to prospective and/or current students 3. Manage undergraduate student academic documents (i.e. major changes, add/drop courses, course overrides, overload waiver requests, retroactive withdrawals, etc.) 4. Coordinate academic term course schedules with department faculty 5. Oversee student-worker assignments and hours to be submitted to the business coordinator 6. Manage room scheduling in the Industrial Education Building, including the Virtual Reality Lab 7. Manage shared files and documents on the department's shared drive 8. Coordinate and assist with advising during summer orientation 9. Organize recruitment efforts and departmental advertising 10. Other duties as assigned by the department head
A master's degree in one of the department's program areas
Experience teaching college-level classes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and Adobe
Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with a diverse group of individuals
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
Knowledge of Mississippi State University's academic programs and procedures
Familiarity with the degree programs offered by Instructional Systems and Workforce Development
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience teaching in an online course delivery format
