The position of Director of Institutional Research, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for designing and leading the strategic planning process; designing and leading the college's institutional effectiveness process; and conducting institutional research to meet external data requirements and guide decision making. The Director of Institutional Research, Planning, and Institutional Effectiveness reports directly to the President and is a member of the college's executive leadership team. This is a 12-month administrative faculty position. Rank and salary are dependent upon qualifications. Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the strategic planning and institutional effectiveness process.
Plans and conducts research/evaluation that provides a better understanding of college characteristics and trends or suggests ways to improve institutional quality.
Projects college enrollments and analyzes how enrollment changes affect the institution.
Provides the president and college leaders with data to assist them with institutional and academic decision-making.
Collects student outcomes assessment data, analyzes the data and presents the results to appropriate college personnel.
Presents research findings as appropriate to the college community, the College Board, local and state news media and other interested groups.
Serves as the college's accreditation liaison with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges..
Develops and publishes the college's Factbook.
Develops and publishes the college's working calendar.
Oversees the completion and dissemination of federal and state reports, such as the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and internal reports.
Evaluates and manages the processing and maintenance of data and databases for institutional, departmental, and individual needs. Ensures data integrity.
Experience in strategic planning, institutional effectiveness, and assessing student outcomes.
Experience with data extraction, analysis, and interpretation using statistical and non-statistical methods.
Knowledge of current practices in institutional research, including ethical use of data and privacy requirements.
Ability to understand, adapt, and apply trends in higher education research, data management, and policies within institutional settings.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
