The Senior Data Coordinator (sDC) will play an integral role in the data management of clinical trials involving human subject research. The sDC will perform data management for clinical trials and is involved in the onboarding and oversight of Data Coordinators within the Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center, in the Clinical & Protocol Data Management (CPDM) Office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Review of research protocols for appropriate data management, review of data at each study visit for completeness, the reconciliation of data queries and discrepancies, and prospective data entry of ongoing research activities
Participate in meetings relevant to data management between the Sponsor,
Principal Investigator and clinical team (coordinators, research nurse, and investigators).
Practice GCP and FDA/HHS regulations and will comply with Columbia University and Hospital policies and procedures related to Clinical Research.
Work with the clinical team to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
In conjunction with the study team, the sDC will gather and maintain all required data and relevant clinical information in organized patient files and ensure timely collection, filing, and reconciliation of patient source documents.
Education, training, and ongoing supervision of pertinent staff members; timely and appropriate interaction with sponsors, including managing routine monitoring visits.
Participation in committee or other meetings as assigned
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor???s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience.
Master???s degree in management or public health is preferable.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Computer skills, proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
2 years of HICCC CPDM Data Coordinator or 1 year of HICCC CPDM and 1 year of other Oncology Clinical trials experience.
Meets or exceeds expectations on annual review.
Computer Skills: proficiency with MS Word programs and familiarity with Mac and PC platforms.
