The Department of Animal and Dairy Sciences is currently seeking a Agricultural Technician to assist in the management and operation of the Mississippi Agricultural and Forestry Experiment Station (MAFES) Horse Unit located at the H.H. Leveck Animal Research Center on Mississippi State University Campus.
The H.H. Leveck Animal Research Center consists of 1,200 acres of land adjacent to the Mississippi State University campus of which 250 acres is devoted to horse production. The current university horse herd consists of 65 plus horses used for teaching, research, and extension activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Agricultural Technician will assist the Facilities Supervisor with the care of the horse herd including feeding, foaling, health and foot care, record keeping, ordering supplies, maintenance of facilities and equipment. Assist and support faculty with instructional courses, extension programs, and research activities, field days, tours, shows, and sales.
Education: High school diploma
Experience: Six months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified AND six months of general experience.
Bachelor of Science degree in animal and dairy science or closely related field and at least one year of general experience.
