We are seeing a Student Success Navigator (SSN) who is primarily responsible for retention and student degree completion. The SSN will provide available services, support, and resources to increase academic readiness, progress, and success. Using a case management approach, SSN focuses on creating and monitoring a database to assist and support students, regularly checking academic progress and providing follow-up and follow through when necessary. The SSN will be assigned a specific caseload of students.
This is a part-time, hourly-rate position.
Examples of Duties
Develop and sign-off on an Academic Plan with each assigned advisee
Intervene when students deviate from established plan
Monitor each student's progression towards his or her academic and career goals
Train students how to navigate the student portal and other PCCC IT resources
Meet with the assigned student twice a semester using email, phone, FaceTime, text, in person meeting
Use relevant College resources and refer students for services based on individual students needs
Work with faculty and staff to develop guidelines and information for particular programs areas
Meet with department chairs and faculty in their assigned pathway to stay current with program changes and new information
Perform other related duties, as assigned
Bachelor's degree in related are required
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural environment
Experience working in higher education required
Experience with Ellucian student information system preferred
Travel to satellite campuses as required
