The successful candidate will teach courses in adult health and other non-clinical courses in nursing, advise/coach students, engage in a program of scholarship (including publishing in peer reviewed journals and securing research funding) and provide service to the School of Nursing and Health Services, College of Health and Human Sciences, University, and practice and professional communities.

The School of Nursing at North Carolina A&T was founded in 1953. With two additional programs added to the school: health communications and health services management, the School of Nursing has now become the School of Nursing and Health Services. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has traditional, accelerated, and RN-BSN entry options. The nursing program is a partner in the Union Square Campus, a key initiative of Opportunity Greensboro. Union Square is a 103,000 square foot state-of-the-art healthcare simulation center. Fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Education in Nursing, the nursing program at North Carolina A&T boasts high NCLEX pass rates and is poised for graduate education.

Record of research and publications expected of rank as an Assistant/Associate Professor. (4). Unrestricted license to practice in North Carolina at the time of appointment is required. (5) Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. (6). Meet the requirements for teaching at the baccalaureate level as prescribed by the governing body.
