Faculty will teach courses in-person or remotely as necessary. Salary is per credit hour and based on education and experience. Teach college level human services courses in-person or remotely for the Alexandria Campus of Northern Virginia Community College. Create and distribute course syllabus based upon the current college-wide course content summary, keep accurate attendance records, use required text books and resources when necessary, use LMS for course delivery and grade roster, post final grades within 48 hours of final exams, participate in SLO assessment when necessary, adhere to NOVA college policies
•Adept knowledge of instructional technologies •Excellent interpersonal and native or near-native oral and written English skills •Excellent interpersonal oral and written skills •Ability to work with a diverse student population •Diligence in submitting required grades, attendance records and other college forms in a timely fashion. •Experience using current, student-centered teaching methods, and integrating technology appropriately into language learning •Experience in teaching traditional, hybrid and/or online classes Master's degree in Psychology or Counseling; or a master's degree with eighteen graduate semester credit hours in Psychology/Counseling is required.
