Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA seeks to fill a part-time, 12-month Adjunct Librarian position in the Foley Library. The Adjunct Librarian supports the information and research needs of the students and faculty of Gonzaga University, primarily in the evenings and on weekends. The Adjunct Librarian provides circulation, information, and research supports to students in academic programs of the University. As a member of the User Services department, the Adjunct Librarian assists in overseeing all department student employees and maintains service points in the evenings and on weekends. In charge of building operations as needed, the Adjunct Librarian opens and closes the library using established procedures and refers issues to Campus Security or Plant Services as needed. If hired, the candidate must be willing to relocate to the Spokane area.
ALA-accredited Master's degree in Library Science.
Two years' experience providing information, reference, and research support and/or circulation services in an academic environment.
Strong customer service orientation with skills for all types of interactions, including in-person, online chat, email, and telephone assistance.
Experience working with electronic resources and digital formats.
Experience providing library services in a diverse environment.
