Required Qualifications: (As Evidenced by an Attached Resume) Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience or related field in hand by June 2021. Experience with behavioral testing and surgical procedures in small animals (rodents). Experience with protein biochemical techniques.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with intra-cranial stereotaxic surgery in rats. Experience with histological and immunohistochemical procedures and behavioral testing of rodents. Experience with data management (Excel, SPSS, Prism), electronics, and computers. Ability to demonstrate professional competence in research activities.
Brief Description of Duties: Incumbent will be required to set-up and perform experiments related to the neurobiological study of learning and memory.
Set-up and perform intra-cranial surgical cannulae implantation on adult rodents
Set-up and perform behavioral testing (e.g., fear conditioning, acoustic startle) in adult rodents.
Set-up and perform protein biochemical assays (e.g., Western Blot)
Assist with training and mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students.
Other duties or projects as assigned.
