Reporting to the Director of Alumni Engagement and taking direction from Assistant Director, the Program Assistant provides administrative and event support to the Office of Alumni Engagement and is responsible for the building operations of the Martin Alumni Center. Occasional weekend and evening duties required.
Bachelor's degree required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the receptionist area of the Martin Alumni Center is staffed during all open office hours by the Program Assistant or assigned student workers. -Manage maintenance and hospitality needs of the building and liaise with campus security and other campus partners about hours of operations and events taking place at the facility. - Provide outstanding customer service to alumni, parents, friends and visitors of the university at all times. - Hire, train and supervise student staff within Office of Alumni Engagement who are expected to support the receptionist area, office administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by departmental staff. - Process credit card receipts and expense statements for all department employees per university and office policies. -Prepare purchase orders and payment of contracts as directed. -Coordinate alumni correspondence including alumni birthday, sympathy and holiday card program, a new alumni milestone recognition program. -Process space, set-up, catering, AV and environmental requests with campus partners for on campus events as directed by office staff; assist volunteer managers and event coordinators with meeting and event set-up as needed. -Responsible for preparing attendance lists, guest nametags and other supporting materials. -Manage physical mailings and invitations effectively utilizing student workers. - Assist the Director of Alumni Engagement with general correspondence, departmental related functions and activities such as retreats and staff meetings, and other duties as assigned. -Prepare Presidential and Vice Presidential letters related to Elon Alumni Board, Young Alumni Council, alumni awards, etc. - Prepare general office correspondences as directed. - Ensure that Magazine of Elon information is entered quarterly into Raiser's Edge; profile articles, class notes, birth, weddings, etc. - Track and order supplies and gifts for use in the office.
