The Office of Financial Aid and Scholarship Programs of Syracuse University is seeking to hire a Financial Aid Counselor/Analyst, which is a new position.
The Financial Aid Counselor participates as a member of a team to provide counsel to prospective and enrolled students on matters pertaining to financial aid i.e., advising students about financing options at the university, performing needs analysis to determine students' eligibility for aid, and using appropriate professional judgment to make calculation adjustments. This counselor is responsible for the online-only graduate populations including processing their requests for educational loans, adjusting their loans, and resolving loan issues.
Counselors represent the office at both on and off campus events throughout the year including webinars, live chats, and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) filing fairs.
