Directs the Newhouse School's activities in scholastic journalism, including organizing annual ESSPA conference for high school students which includes planning workshops and an awards ceremony. Directs annual School Press Institute on campus each summer. Develops scholastic journalism camps, youth programs and summer programs. Develops relationships with high schools throughout the local community, region, and nation to build a pipeline of prospective students interested in careers in the field of journalism.
Works with the recruitment team on a variety of admissions and engagement-related activities including communicating with prospective families, planning and participating in campus visiting and outreach events, giving presentations, and providing support to Newhouse student organizations and activities.
