The Department of Microbiology at the University of Tennesseeis seeking a post-doctoral research associate to study the genetics of virusesthat infect microalgae. This is a full-time position.The post-doctoral research associate willwork in a collaborative team and perform experiments that develop tools used togenetically engineer viruses in the Mimiviridae and their hosts, focusing on virusesof photosynthetic plankton. The associate will communicate with otherinvestigators, write reports and manuscripts and assist in advising andtraining of graduate and undergraduate research students.
