Reporting to the Director of Student Client Services, the Student Accounts Specialist is responsible for providing analytical, administrative, and programmatic support for the Office of Student Accounts. This position will be primarily responsible for the management and maintenance of the Card Services program, including IDs, collaborating with Access Control and Housing, Get It Accounts, Meal Plan Adjustments, Blackboard updates/reporting, and JSA systems. This position will also be cross-trained in our Parking Service and Payment Plan operations. The Student Accounts Specialist will provide superior customer service, cashiering, issue resolution, assist with college reconciliations, and documentation of processes while serving as a liaison between the Office of Student Accounts and all internal and external groups, as they relate and interact with the student-oriented systems and data.
Oversight of the Card Services program including Blackboard updates and reporting, Get It Account deposits and transfers, Card Service daily deposit detail, carding events, campus access, meal plan updates, and other card-related activities.
Assist customers via phone, email, in person for Card Services, including ID pictures; replace lost or damaged ID cards, Get It transactions, Blackboard Transact updates, Parking Services, including issuing parking decals to faculty and staff, weekly/temporary parking permits to students, BossCars system updates, payment plan support.
Cashiering duties of posting check and scholarship payments received via mail. Review and post in-person cash and check payments. Accept, review, and post departmental receipts. Review and close out all payments received at the end of every business day
Assist with departmental monthly reconciliations.
Provide support for review and uploading of daily system files.
Receive and respond to main office email and phone line requests to support office operations.
At least 3 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position, preferably in a higher education setting
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or closely related field. Year-for-year work experience may be substituted
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and strong team work approach
Oracle Financial Systems experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Strong and effective communication skills to enhance cooperative working relationships with college faculty, staff, and students.
