The College of Science, Technology, and Health at Lindenwood University invites applications for a visiting instructor of athletic training. The successful candidate will also serve as the coordinator of clinical education for the current undergraduate athletic training program.
Qualified applicants will possess a terminal degree (PhD, EdD, DAT, or equivalent) in athletic training, exercise science, kinesiology, or related field (master’s degree considered). The successful candidate will be expected to teach 3 undergraduate courses (9 credit hours) each semester in the accredited athletic training program. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life.
This visiting instructor position is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin July 1, 2021. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
As the coordinator of clinical education in the athletic training program, this position
Evaluates current clinical sites and developing new clinical sites.
Evaluates clinical preceptor performance.
Oversees the implementation and continued development of preceptor training/education programs.
Develops and implements supplemental clinical experiences as needed.
Assists the program director with assessment activities related to clinical education.

Doctoral degree in athletic training or a related field (master’s degree considered)
Contemporary expertise in athletic training & previous clinical practice in athletic training
Eligible for athletic training licensure in the state of Missouri
Evidence of successful higher education teaching experience
Understands CAATE standards for clinical education
