Salary Range: Salary will be dependent upon experience
The Development Data Analyst will dedicate his/her time to assist with the strategic analysis and reporting of critical development data and information pulled from the university’s donor and alumni database. The Development Data Analyst will exercise a high level of creativity and quality control to ensure reports and data extracts that convey comprehensive and complex information in an understandable and highly accurate manner. These include: -Data needed for marketing efforts and general correspondence -Annual Giving progress reports -Campaign reports -Identifying potential major gift prospects using data mining and fundraising analytics This position will also serve as a primary liaison between the UNC Health Foundation and University of Development as related to data management and information sharing; meet with leadership to identify priority programs to develop, support, and prospect for gifts for these programs.
Education and Experience:
3+ years of business analysis and data gathering experience; database and prospect management skills. Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills; excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment; attention to detail and accuracy; creativity and problem-solving skills; high proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel. Must be familiar with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Must demonstrate ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse constituencies, meet deadlines, be self-motivated, work independently, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to shifting priorities. Must have a customer service oriented attitude, and the ability to be a team player with proven relationship and influencing skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues from a variety of internal and external functional areas. Must be a proven strategic and analytical thinker. Must be an Expert in Excel. Must have experience with report writing software and dashboards.
Preferred skills: Familiarity with Blackbaud software products – CRM preferred. A broad knowledge of Alumni and Development operations, in a large university or experience in a non-profit fundraising office is strongly preferred. Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s or Bachelors and 2-4 years’ experience.
