Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree and 2 years of related experience
Experience in research design and methodology
Experience with data analysis, evaluation practices and procedures
Experience with data management, data analysis, and dissemination of evaluative and research findings through evaluation reporting
Experience in educational and social science research and knowledge of literature in a variety of content areas
The Research Institute for Studies in Education (RISE), a unit of the School of Education, is accepting applications for Research Scientist. Through collaborative efforts with clients, RISE supports institutional research activities, conducts evaluations of academic programs, and contributes data for institutional improvement, policy development, accreditation, and technology review. RISE staff apply research and evaluation expertise to deliver a broad spectrum of services related to research, analytic inquiry, and technical consulting.
Designing and leading project evaluations and research projects; proposal preparation for externally funded projects
Continuous and thoughtful communication with clients, including School of Education faculty and staff
Direct supervision of undergraduate and graduate research assistants; mentoring and training for students and staff in specific content or project areas
Dissemination of project evaluation and research results.
The successful candidate will possess expertise in:
Research design and methodology
Data analysis, evaluation practices and procedures
Data management, data analysis, and dissemination of evaluative and research findings through evaluation reporting
Peer-reviewed research publications,Â research presentations at professional conferences, and presentation of evaluation findings.
Educational and social science research and knowledge of literature in a variety of content areas

Minimum requirements for a level II is a Bachelorâs degree and 2 years of related experience (PS807)
Research Scientist I is an entry level position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision
Research Scientist II is an intermediate position requiring solid professional and/or technical skills
