JOB SUMMARY The Department of Art at Saginaw Valley State University invites applications for a full-time, one-year temporary, Assistant Professor in the Graphic Design area starting August 2021. We are looking for a well-rounded graphic designer committed to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level to students seeking BA, BFA, and Art Education degrees.
Teaching opportunities may include introduction to graphic design, branding design, publication design, and other areas as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Graphic Design or relevant field.
At least one year of college-level teaching experience required.
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity in the classroom.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates with design industry experience may be given higher consideration.
