Use of science, engineering and math, and the theories that accompany them to solve problems in research and development, inspection and maintenance of lab equipment.
Assist scientists and laboratory team to solve general technical problems
Work with other engineers as part of the decision making process when designing and prototyping
Performs routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and research support.
Some degree of lifting and heavy work related to the laboratory equipment.
Minimum education level: BS in Engineering.
Basic knowledge of scientific and engineering fundamentals.
Has proven hands-on experience applying engineering principles.
Has experience programming / coding, and working with microcontrollers
Demonstrated competence in first level laboratory research support; affords continued training for related specialized career path. Instructive guidance provided by faculty adviser builds upon skills amassed as junior level trainee.
Experience with rapid prototyping and/or 3D printing a plus
