Postdoctoral Research Associate
Princeton UniversityPhotosynthetic organisms, our planet's greatest chemists, drive the global carbon cycle and provide us with food, fuel, materials and drugs. Yet, our understanding of these organisms is in its infancy. The thousands of poorly-characterized genes in photosynthetic organisms likely participate in dozens of fundamentally-important pathways that have yet to be discovered. The Jonikas laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral candidate or more senior researcher to characterize a novel pathway of their choosing by contributing to and leveraging the cutting-edge tools and resources being developed by the laboratory, which include atlases of protein localizations, protein-protein interactions, and mutant phenotypes.
