The USC School of Pharmacy is accepting applications for a clinical staff pharmacist with an oncology focus. The clinical staff pharmacist will be responsible for clinical management of patients receiving oral or self-administered oncology therapies at the Keck Medicine of USC Specialty Pharmacy. Â
Responsibilities will include initial and follow up patient consultations and for proper documentation in accordance with the pharmacyâs policies and procedures and URAC standards; ensuring accurate and safe therapy by performing PV1 and PV2 verification as needed and assisting with the prior authorization and appeals process. The clinical staff pharmacist will also serve on the pharmacyâs Clinical Operations committee and complete tasks as assigned by the committee directors and will also supervise ancillary staff (technicians, interns) and provide guidance as necessary. Â
The applicant must have a degree from an accredited (ACPE) school of pharmacy and be a registered pharmacist in the state of CA.
Minimum Education: PharmD degree from an ACPE accredited university
Minimum Field of Expertise: Pharmacy/California State License
Preferred Education: completion of a PGY1 program in an outpatient pharmacy setting
Preferred Experience: 5 years of community pharmacy practice or completion of PGY1 program in community pharmacy.Â Work experience in a specialty pharmacy setting.
