CLIENT RELATIONS COORDINATOR , Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) Alliances , to be responsible for proactive and productive client relationship management with member companies within CSAIL Alliances and related research initiatives. Responsibilities include managing membership renewals and retention activities; researching and developing thorough understanding of major business and technology issues facing member companies; proactively identifying and bringing developments/opportunities of potential value to the attention of members; maintaining thorough knowledge of CSAIL principal investigator's research activities and matching them to the needs of member companies; contributing to CAP member database (Salesforce) and maintaining member records; conducting new member processing and orientation; serving as point person for member organizations; maintaining effective working relationships with other MIT departments engaged in professional course development and start-up activities; collaborating on events; monthly reporting; representing Alliances at meetings; arranging for member follow-up and debriefs; and performing other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements REQUIRED : bachelor's degree in business or related area; at least two years' membership development, client relations, or professional development experience; account management experience; excellent interpersonal, customer service, organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; diplomacy, good judgment, discretion, and tact with confidential information/issues and in all communication; effective business writing and oral presentation skills; ability to anticipate consequences of actions, potential problems, or opportunities for change; proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other programs and tools; and meticulous attention to detail. Must be able to work independently, prioritize workload, deliver high-quality results, meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and competing demands, and work effectively in a team-based environment across all levels.
