Effectively plan and conduct experiments and related research directed toward ultimate publication, prepare articles for publication.
Collect, record, verify scientific data; compile in formation in support of research; apply knowledge and skills applicable to an assigned technical discipline.
Report research progress and findings to the principal investigator; present and disseminate research progress and findings in lab meetings, national or international conferences.
Record and maintain experimental details, including but not limit to experimental plans, designs, progresses, results, and findings in lab notes.
Make and maintain animal stocks, bacterial stocks, plasmid stocks, and all other necessary stocks.
Ensure lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with established procedures.
Assist with general lab maintenance and cleaning.
May help the lab order lab supplies.
May direct the work of laboratory technicians, students, and others.
May demonstrate and explain various laboratory techniques to laboratory personnel, students, and others.

Candidates should have a recent Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, genetics, immunology, neurobiology, or similar field, with a proven track record of creativity and productivity.
Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and have strong oral/written communication skills.
Extensive prior research experience with C. elegans.
