The Recruitment & Retention Specialist for Technical Programs is a position funded through the Carl Perkins federal grant. This position will provide services outlined in the Perkins grant application specifically retention and recruitment of students in technical programs. A detailed position description can be obtained from the Human Resource Office.
Two-year degree in related field and minimum of one-year related work experience.
Ability to develop and maintain rapport and above average interpersonal and human relation skills.
Ability to work with a varied schedule (including evenings and weekends, and summer)
Knowledge of college policies, programs, and curriculum, to develop guidelines and goals with students.
Ability to repeat material content and implement new ways of presenting information to accommodate learning style.
Understanding that all accommodations for students who have disabilities must be in compliance with the American Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Civil Rights Act.
Understanding of confidentiality, Data Privacy, FERPA, HIPPA regulations.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Some travel is necessary (approximately 20%).
Bachelor's / Master's Degree
Experience in strategic enrollment management at a two-year community and technical college
Experience in implementing strategic enrollment management goals
Experience working with students from diverse and traditionally underserved backgrounds and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion
Experience within a multi-campus institution
Knowledge of ISRS, CRM/CMS systems, ImageNow, and/or DARS
