Associate's degree in related field. Bachelor's degree in a related field is desirable. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience in standardized testing in post-secondary education to include knowledge of policies and procedures for exams such as College Level Examination Program (CLEP), Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), Texas Examinations of Educator Standards Computer Administered Test (TExES-CAT), Test of English as a Foreign Language Internet Based Test (TOEFL-iBT), and Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) is desirable. Relevant office management or related experience. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs advanced administrative support, technical, and standardized testing duties for the Testing Center.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Provides administrative, professional, and technical support for the Testing Center to include the administration, maintenance, and security of all forms of computer-based and paper-pencil exams. Administers exams to include college-level and professional certifications to university students and the surrounding community. Assists the Director of Testing in coordinating, implementing, delivering, securing and maintaining services, programs, equipment, and systems for all testing services. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. Schedules appointments and activities. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents, correspondence, memorandums, requisitions, and personnel actions. Reviews and routes mail. Assists in the preparation of departmental or project budgets, grant applications, and periodic status reports. Performs other related duties as assigned.
