THIS IS A TIME-LIMITEDPOSITIONWITH AN ESTIMATEDDURATION OF 3 YEARS.
This recruitment is for two (2) Research Assistants: 20038276 and 20004208.
This position will be housed within the UNC Center for Health Equity Research and will work directly CHER Research team staff, directors, and external stakeholders. They will be responsible for providing research and/or evaluation support for the day-to-day activities of funded programs and projects under the purview of the Center. In this position, the successful candidate will not only be required to work with diverse research teams on evaluation, research studies, and grant applications, but also be able to work independently on tasks assigned to them. These tasks will include, but are not limited to: research administration, team communication, task and milestone reporting, data management, analysis and report development, survey development and administration, data compilation and visualization, requests for data/reports, and literature searches and synthesis.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Because this position involves working on multiple projects, excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to consistently follow through and follow up with assignments of others are critical. Strong research and analytical skills. Strong communication skills. MS Office suite experience required. Qualitative or quantitative data analysis software experience required (e.g. NVivo, Atlas.ti, SPSS, SAS, STATA, R, REDCap, etc.). Meticulous and detail-oriented, able to understand the structure and constraints of different kinds of data and conduct data collection plans, database/data management plans, and analyses accordingly. Ability to clearly, concisely, professionally, and effectively communicate in writing and verbally with staff, faculty, and individuals in other organizations, including report writing. Ability to work independently, identify needs and develop and implement improvements.
Masters of Public Health or equivalent degree preferred. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Prefer candidates with experience working across multiple projects and full lifespan of projects (grant writing through dissemination of findings). Prefer candidates with experience in implementation science, cross-disciplinary teams, clinical trials, community- or stakeholder-engaged research, or health equity research or evaluation. Prefer candidates with experience working in a virtual environment.
