USCâs Keck School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease is seeking a Program Administrator to run the Center of Emerging Pathogens program.Â This position will report to the Director of the program and will help with the coordination of providing services to organizations within and outside the United States LA County. The Program Administrator will serve as the key resource for centerâs information. Will be required to effectively solve problems and answer questions referred by centerâs staff, university administrators, or other contingencies. Interfaces with faculty, staff, students, researchers, and external contacts and vital information exchange regarding centerâs services or content.
Job responsibilities include:
Manages the Centre of Emerging Pathogens program and serve as the Program administrator of this Center. One of the missions of this Centre is Community Outreach and will be responsible for all aspects of this service. Plans and schedules program services. Administers program operations and administrative functions such as policies, marketing, outreach, etc. Contributes to the design of program content, policies and strategic planning efforts. May oversee staff, students, volunteers, agency workers and/or resource employees.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supports the director of the Emerging Pathogens program/Centre responsibilities including, but not limited to required communication with KSOM, departments and the community partners, implement personnel management including, but not limited to support center-initiated programmatic activities related to emerging pathogens/COVID-19 for clients/partners.
Plans and develops centerâs objectives and/or content, researches and identifies trends and needs and establishes centerâs directions accordingly, assesses quality of centerâs operations, modifies existing centerâs services or creates new program offerings to maintain or enhance centerâs standing and establishes center with other departments on or off campus as necessary.
Manages the delivery of services to center members and/or other investigators. Plans and conducts quality assurance reviews and recommends changes as appropriate.
Sets and communicates centerâs priorities and performance standards and assesses operations using these criteria, plans and conducts quality assurance reviews and recommends changes as appropriate.
Serves as a key resource for centerâs information. Will be required to effectively solve problems and answer questions referred by patrons/clients, collaborators, centers team members, university administrators, or other contingencies. Interfaces with faculty, staff, students, researchers, and external contacts for information exchange regarding centerâs services
