There is an exciting new opportunity at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Southern California, for a Research Lab Tech IIIwho has extensive experience working with mouse models, including managing mouse colony, establish cancer models such as leukemia models and Xenograft models.Â
Responsibilities include a) Maintaining mouse colonies, b) Conducting in vivo experiments for hypothesis-driven research as assigned, and c) Preparing scientific manuscripts in collaboration with other lab members. Candidate will enjoy a highly collaborative environment and has opportunities to contribute to high impact research projects. It is essential that the applicant has excellent organizational and communication skills and able to establish and maintain collaborations independently.
Preferred Education:B.S. in Molecular Biology, genetics, developmental biology, or in a relevant field.
Preferred Experience:Experience with standard mouse handling and molecular biology techniques are essential. The ability to learn new techniques quickly and a strict attention to details of experimental protocols are required. Additional experiences in cell biology and biochemistry are preferred, but not required.
Preferred Field of Expertise:Have extensive experience working with mice. Proficient in mouse genotypying, breading, ear-tagging, as well as PDX experiments.
