Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU) is seeking a dynamic, energetic employee with outstanding communications skills and a passion for customer service! Our ideal candidate will focus on providing an exceptional customer experience in all member touch-points, in-person, phone interactions and digital communications. Employee will be responsible with assisting the manager of our Massachusetts General Hospital office in the supervision of the employees and for providing timely, accurate service to all customers.
Responsible for a comprehensive array of duties:
Oversees the Teller Line Operations and provides feedback for employee reviews and assists with the Branch staffing schedule.
Opens Savings and Checking accounts/Certificates/IRA Accounts which includes processing of IRA transfers, rollovers, and required minimum distributions.
Assists members in processing Power of Attorney, Trust, Student Organization accounts and processing death and fraud claims.
Oversees the branch in manager's absence.
Processes transactions: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, etc.
Balances daily teller drawer and the cash recyclers when required. Familiar with all aspects of daily branch settlement.
Assists with solving complex issues, complaints and counsels members with specific requests and refers to manager as appropriate.
Ability to sell money orders and process cash advances.
Payroll Maintenance/Schedules Payments and Transfers/ACH Originations.
Processes stop payments on teller checks, personal checks and ACH.
Processes all consumer loan applications including student loans/ability to disburse loans/setup loan payments/orders coupon payment books.
Performs Home Equity closings.
Assists members with domestic and international wire transfers.
Completes deposit verifications, address changes and other written inquiries.
Assists with the daily balancing of the ATM terminals.
Foreign currency sales and check collections.
Ability to service the Coin Machine (located at the Harvard Square Branch).
Provides branch telephone coverage for incoming calls promptly and professionally.
Maintains a neat and clean workstation and assists in maintaining Branch appearance.
May need to travel at late notice to provide coverage at any branch, depending on the needs of the business.
Responsible for maintaining comprehensive job knowledge:
Develops and maintains a high level of knowledge of HUECU accounts and services to assist in the cross selling of appropriate products and services to meet members' needs.
Successfully completes in-house training sessions and other recommended training programs.
Assists with training of new and existing staff.
Develops and maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of all Credit Union systems utilized by the Retail Group.
Completes required annual training for Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), responsible for accurately completing Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), adhering to the Customer Identification Program (CIP) Policy, reporting suspicious activity to the BSA Officer, performing Office of Foreign Assists Control (OFAC) inquires, and Branch Robbery Procedures.

The following qualifications are the minimum threshold for which a candidate must meet in order to be considered for this role.
High School Graduate.
A minimum of two years of related banking/credit union experience required.
Must become a registered Notary Public.

Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Previous supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate others.
Familiarity with federal and state banking regulations.
Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
Proven customer service skills and the ability to problem solve.
Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
Comfort working in the diverse and multicultural environment of Harvard University and affiliate organizations.
Saturday hours and extended branch hours required on a rotational basis based on Branch and Credit Union needs.
