The Manager of Finance and Financial Analysis is responsible for the development of financial reporting for senior financial and operational leadership. This position also manages a team of analysts in coordinating and managing departmental budgets, implementing financial benchmarking software, automating financial processes, and reporting for funds flow planning for the medical school.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelorâs Degree Finance or Accounting, â¢Masterâs preferredMinimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢5-7 yearsâ experience in complex financial analysis with at least 2-3 years of lead/supervisory experience.â¢Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.â¢Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel and applicable finance softwareâ¢Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, â¢Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsâ¢Solid understanding and familiarity with accounting concepts and practice, and financial statistics.â¢Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date (applicable to employees working within City of LA).
