Position Description: UCLA Strategic Communications increases awareness, understanding and support of UCLA's vision, mission, and accomplishments among its many constituencies. A major focus of this department is the formulation and implementation of strategic communications initiatives, plans and events.
Reporting to the CAO/CFO, the HR Representative provides administrative and organizational support for staff and student HR activities. The HR Representative processes all personnel and payroll actions, including time and attendance; maintains files, tracking databases and the Strategic Communications HR intranet; manages the development and execution of HR procedures; serves as a vital customer service resource, responding to payroll- and personnel-related queries from Strategic Communications employees; provides administrative assistance with the coordination and management of the annual staff performance management program, employment and staffing, organizational training and development, workplace health and safety, and employee and labor relations.; Duties are performed onsite during normal office working hours. Working hours may include weekends, evenings and holidays and may require light travel.
