The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is a seeking an IT professional to contribute to the success of the department by providing front-line technology services and supporting faculty, staff, and students within the department with their IT needs.
Other duties will include video/photo editing, installation of equipment and various other IT related tasks.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Performing basic installation of hardware and software adhering to operational standards, organizational security and licensing requirements. Installing software updates and patches as needed. Performing basic testing of software and hardware.
Troubleshooting assigned applications and hardware. Performing direct user support in person and over the phone.
Providing basic one-on-one guidance and consultation to users.
Providing basic one-on-one instruction.
Providing basic documentation of user support activities/incidents. Updating existing documentation of support services.
Assisting with all current Ortho IT project support and services.
Performing video and photo editing.
Performing various other IT related tasks as needed.

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 6-12 months of relevant IT or IT Support experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, organize priorities, and work independently to meet deadlines.
Proficient knowledge of IT basics relating to installation of hardware and software.
Proven ability to use photo and video editing software to complete photo and video projects.
Working knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations.
Previous experience working in a medical or academic setting.
Working knowledge of MATLAB, EPIC, and/or other research or medical software applications.
Experience working with Sharewell Service Management software.
