The UC Davis Medical Center Radiology Department consists of Diagnostic Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Neuro-Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Positive Emission Tomography (PET) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR). The Department has four Interventional Suites, five CT scanners, four Ultrasound procedure rooms, five Nuclear Medicine cameras, one PET Imaging unit, three MR scanners and eight Diagnostic radiology rooms.

Responsibilities The Administrative Nurse I (ANI) manages assigned Procedural Services in lnterventional Radiology (IR) Neuro-lnterventional (NIR) and Body Imaging (Bl) by coordinating clinical and operational activities within the department. The AN I is an RN with advanced skills who is an expert in Radiology nursing care providing direction, coaching to staff nurses and other Radiology staff in the daily operations in a variety of Radiology specialties. The ANI reports to the AN II and works closely with the Radiology leadership team to ensure delivery of appropriate and timely services to patients and other key stakeholders. The AN I has primary responsibility for day to day management and coordination of care throughout the entire pre, intra and post procedure interventions in order to facilitate fluid operations of the interventional schedules within the radiology nursing unit. The ANI acts as a mentor, preceptor, and resource for other Clinical Nurses (CN I, II & Ill) as well as other staff members. Functions in clinical nursing role.
At least 2 years of recent RN Radiology experience or similar setting.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Possession of a current California RN license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Knowledge of current trends in nursing.

Knowledge of legal implications in clinical practice and documentation.

Ability to work overtime, float to other areas and work weekends and holidays.
Ability to safely lift 25 lbs. and assist in moving patients, and stand on feet over extended period
