The LGBTQ+ Center Director is responsible for strategic planning, development and implementation of programs, events and initiatives; budget, contracts and community outreach for the center. The director advances IUPUI's strategic plan and commitment to students (of all identities) success by managing the operations, overseeing programming of special events and services. The director evaluates and reports on the contributions toward the IUPUI strategic plan for the center. In collaboration with IUPUI partners, the center contributes to the educational, cultural and social justice for students of all identities. The director is responsible for all phases of the center operations and facility management. Responsible for ensuring compliance with university policy, federal and state regulations, managing employees of the center and serves as a liaison for students, faculty, alumni, community and the center's services.
Bachelor's degree in social work, law, or a related field and four years of experience in student support, higher education student affairs, or a related field and one year of management experience in relevant field.
Combinations of education and related experience may be considered.

Degree in higher education in women and gender studies, counseling, queer studies, social work, sociology or a related field. Experience working with LGBTQ+ populations. Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, team building, diversity and equity. Experience with strategic planning.
Working Conditions / Demands
Ability to sit at computer, walk to on-campus meetings or events, and drive to off-campus meetings or events. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
