Part-time Visiting Lecturer in Management Communication, SC Johnson College of Business School of Hotel Administration
The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business at Cornell University invites applications from qualified individuals for a part-time visiting lecturer faculty position in Management Communication beginning July 2021. The position is in the School of Hotel Administration.

Job Description: The primary responsibility is teaching "Business Writing for Hospitality Professionals," a first-year, core course that emphasizes written communication in professional contexts and includes an introduction to presentational speaking in business. The visiting lecturer will teach one to two sections of the course and hold regular, individual conferences to discuss students' papers and presentations. Being accessible to students is critical.
Discipline-related master's degree or Ph.D., preferably from a professional communication or rhetoric program
Experience teaching in a four-year, accredited college or university, preferably teaching multi-section courses
Experience and skill in teaching writing in professional contexts and willingness to teach both written and oral communication
Demonstrated experience and interest in collaborating with colleagues
Direct engagement with the business communication discipline--through, for example, presenting at business, technical, or professional communication conferences--is an advantage, as is business knowledge and experience
Starting Date: Fall 2021 Semester
