Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding nursing leadership opportunity to join the AACS/Clinic Float Pool as an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3/ANM), 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift, (M-F) position.
The Assistant Nurse Manager (RN3) performs specific leadership functions related to Float Pool, annual Flu Clinic, and Patient Access Center [PAC] nursing practice, education and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with AACS leadership. Delivers quality nursing care and demonstrates effective problem solving and communication and continued professional development for self and others. Serves as a role model and provides guidance to other staff including review and evaluation of performance.
Under general supervision, the Assistant Nurse Manager utilizes the nursing process to prescribe, prioritize, delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients/families. Makes independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the values of Harborview Medical Center and the principles of quality improvement and patient safety.
SCHEDULE: Position is 100% FTE (40 hours per week), Day shift, Monday thru Friday
LOCATION: Harborview Medical Center Campus- Seattle, First Hill
REQUIREMENTS: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Washington. Three to five years of progressive clinical experience, at least one year of experience in outpatient setting. OR- Equivalent education and experience. Relevant certification preferred.
