The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor of Assistant Professor to join our Division of Neuro-interventional Radiology. Responsibilities include active participation in clinical and educational endeavors within the Division. Candidates must be board certified in Diagnostic Radiology (ABR), CAST certified or eligibility preferred.
Successful candidates will have considerable expertise in all aspects of clinical neurointerventional procedures, including but not limited to cerebral and spinal angiography, mechanical thrombectomy, endovascular cerebral/spinal aneurysm and vascular malformation treatment, extracranial/intracranial angioplasty and stenting and interventional spinal procedures including vertebral augmentation. Clinical skills should also include the ability to interpret Neuroradiology studies including but not limited to plain films, ultrasound, CT and MRI. Candidates should have a strong background in research and teaching. It is expected that the successful candidate will provide a collegial and collaborative environment that will promote programmatic growth, excellent patient care and interdisciplinary research. Collaboration with neurosurgeons, neurologists, intensivists and other clinical colleagues is required.
The Department of Radiology faculty provides clinical services to patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital (NMH) and its Northwestern Medicine affiliates. NMH is a state of the art tertiary medical center in the North Michigan Avenue area of Chicago, is the primary teaching hospital of the Feinberg School of Medicine and is the academic center of the Northwestern Medicine network of regional hospitals and outpatient centers.
