The Department of Family Medicine seeks a nurse practitioner experienced in working with geriatric populations to join our team of Geriatric providers. The individual hired for this position will provide direct and independent nursing care as a primary care provider to older adults in community settings.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing one or two years of post-bachelor degree work such as a Masters in Nursing; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in direct nursing care in a specialized area or a Master's Degree in Nursing; up to six months of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in direct nursing care in a specialized area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position also requires possession of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse and specialty certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Michigan. May require certification by the American Nurses' Association in a specialty area.
