The Malaker Lab (https://www.malakerlab.com) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to support current research projects in glycobiology, chemical biology, and mass spectrometry as a postdoctoral associate in the Chemistry Department at Yale. Initial appointments will be for one year with extensions both possible and desired. Successful candidates will:
Contribute to a research program aimed at understanding the role of mucin-domain glycoproteins in health and disease.
Be involved in interdisciplinary projects involving glycobiology, chemical biology, and mass spectrometry.
Communicate and document findings in reports and peer-reviewed journals.
Perform all duties in compliance with operational safety, security, and quality quidelines.
Work both independently and in a team environment.
Mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students in an interdisciplinary research setting.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position has been filled.
The Malaker Lab focuses on developing analytical and biological approaches to understand dysregulated glycosylation in human disease. As a result, much of the research in the lab is conducted at the interface or analytical chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, and immunology.
