Research Support - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
This position is in the Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. The Division of General Internal Medicine has developed an outstanding cohort of clinicians, teachers, and young educational leaders. The division is united in the mission of patient care and has enthusiastically accepted and embraced teaching and educational leadership roles. The majority of faculty members are clinical scholars whose academic activities involve scholarship related to clinical and educational activities.
This position is vital to the successful implementation, enrollment, and closeout of this COVID related clinical research study. Without this position, the study will be significantly delayed or may not be able to successfully begin enrollment participants. This position will provide the needed day to day work to support the continuity of the trial.
85% Enter data on study participants from surveys, medical records, and other sources as applicable into computer systems per sponsor requirements; maintaining databases; filing - Screen patients for eligibility - Consent patients for study - Other needs related to recruitment, retention, and data entry 10% Run errands for the study team as needed 5% Prepare forms and/or other materials for participant visits The employer reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in public health, clinical research, biology, statistics, pre-medical studies, chemistry; or a similar combination of education and experience to total four years. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint Prior research experience Detail-oriented, able to follow strict protocols, motivated Strong communication skills Strong interest in clinical research and/or medical career pathway
